Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By using the App (as defined), you agree that you have read and understood all the terms in these Terms of Use which are applicable to you. These Terms of Use and the Ryde Policies (as defined) constitute a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you and Ryde (as defined). The Agreement applies to your use of the Service (as defined) provided by Ryde. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, please do not use or continue using the Application or the Service.
You have legal capacity to enter into the Agreement and that you are at least eighteen (18) years old. You cannot enter into the Agreement if you are below eighteen (18) years old.
All the information which you provide shall be true and accurate.
You will only use the Application, Platform and Service for their intended and lawful purposes.
When using the Service, you agree to comply with all laws applicable to you and/or your use of the Service.
You agree to assume full responsibility and liability for all loss or damage suffered by yourself, Ryde or any other party as a result of your breach of this Agreement.
You have to book when you ready to go and show up to your Ryde on time.
You have to choose the correct pick up location and communicate with your driver to find each other.
Confirm your driver identity before boarding the vehicle.
Don’t ask your driver to speed or commit traffic violations, including stopping at unsafe or illegal locations.
You have to wear a seatbelt at all times.
Assault, harassment or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
Drugs, weapons and hazardous materials must not be brought inside the vehicle.
Theft, robbery or property damage will not be tolerated. 14.Ensure your drop off location is accurate and safe before booking. 15.Treat your driver with respect at all times.
16.Don’t smoke or vape. Don’t spit, vomit or slam the door. 17.Don’t keep or share personal details about your driver.
18.Don’t leave nothing in the vehicle and remember to take your belongings. 19.Show your appreciation for your driver by rating the trip and providing feedback. 20.In case of emergency always call the authorities firs.
Once all parties are safe and the authorities have been notified contact Ryde to report the incident.
Always pay the correct fare as displayed on your Ryde app. 23.Keep your account details up to data.
Only access your account through the official Ryde app.
Keep your password private and don’t respond to any request for your login details.
Payment Terms;
Users are required to make full payment of the User Charges for all services offered in the Application.
Users have to select a preferred payment method including credit and debit cards. 3.Any payment pursuant to such selection is non-refundable and irrevocable.
If your payment method is declined please add a new one.
Reach out to your bank to ensure your payment method is valid.
If you have an outstanding balance you can clear it by requesting your next Ryde on cash.
you may cancel your request for transportation services at any time before you commence your Ryde with the Third-Party Provider that has been matched with you by the Service.
If you decide to cancel your Ryde booking or do not show up at the designated location, you may be charged a Cancellation Fee or such other Cancellation Fee as Ryde will notify you.
If you feel you were incorrectly charged a Cancellation Fee, you may contact Ryde via Help center on Ryde’s application for assistance.
Ryde reserves its absolute discretion to any refunds to you and such refunds may be credited to the payment card you used for the journey, or by such other method as is deemed reasonable by Ryde.
If your driver cancels and you’re charged you will get a refund to your selection payment method.
Refunds may take up to 30 days to process depending on your bank.
Privacy Policy
“Personal Data” Is any information which can be used to identify you or from which you are identifiable. This includes your name, nationality, telephone number, bank and credit card details, email address, your image, date of birth.
We collect Personal Data about you in the ways listed below.
We collect your Personal Data when you voluntarily provide it to us. For example, you may provide your Personal Data to us when you:
fill up a user profile or registration forms.
provide information to assess your eligibility to provide services as a Ryde driver-partner.
interact with our social media pages.
participate in contests or events organized by us.
use biometric features to identity yourself.
fill up demographic information in surveys.
Personal Data may be collected through the normal operation of our Apps, some examples are:
your location (to detect pick-up locations and abnormal route variations).
feedback, ratings and compliments.
transaction information (such as payment method).
information about how you interacted with our Apps.
personal data you enter in messages when you use our in- app communication features.
We use your data to ensure the safety and security of our services and all users. This includes:
screening driver and delivery partners before enabling their use of our Services.
identifying unsafe driving behavior such as harsh braking and providing personalized feedback to driver partners.
verifying your identity when you log in to Ryde.
using device, location, profile, usage, and other Personal Data to prevent, detect and combat fraud or unsafe activities.
